I heard that waiting lists are really long and was shocked today when the audiology dept. rang to say that they had a cancellation Monday (exactly 7 days after i was told i would need a hearing aid) to go and pick up mine. I did have an urgent referral as I need to test it before considering a myringoplasty, but even so, isn’t a week lightning fast?!
