What? Didn’t quite get that…
Come on, don’t be silly… sit down.
…..err….. what?
I’m sorry?
Monte Python revolutionize comedy!!! I Love ‘em!!!
What is that showing on the video? What did they say? I think I’ve dropped my contact lenses! I think my hearing aids are down!
What was it I was saying? What did I say?
It’s “gawk,” not “gauk.” So, you were saying?
lol I was getting frustrated just watching this.
That’s funny.
I think that’s why so many people like their iPods better than some people.
whats that? I’m sorry I didn’t hear you i had my headphones on
Those are some pretty standard words there, buddy. When you are talking about something as delicate as an IQ test, succinctness and clarity are very important. I didn’t write that because I didn’t have the space —
— which is the same reason that I chose my words carefully. My whole point, troll, was that you can’t measure intelligence easily, and in line with that point, I certainly don’t think that Youtube comments would be a better measure.
brilliant! I love monty python
oh my god…..lmao…..why didn’t you just write (I’m going to go out of my way to use multi-syllable words to appear intelligent) before you started? lol…..here come’s the old “Some of us actually have an education” rebuttle
lol fucking geniuss!!!! Looovveee monty python
Agreed. However, I think your point reflects a more general problem of attempting to measure such a variable and context sensitive attribute on a linear scale. Intelligence simply cannot be quantified in the way that people would like to think it can, and to my mind, this leaves IQ tests intrinsically flawed.
The Pythons did two 45 minute episodes for German television- ‘Monty Python’s Fliegender Zirkus’. This sketch appears in the second episode. The first episode they actually spoke entirely in German. Both episodes have really good material and performances by the group. Well worthwhile checking out.
The bar by which we measure intelligence in terms of those we consider intelligent on one end to others we label otherwise isn’t such a very wide margin indeed. Its funny how some idiots gauk at those who might only be 10-15 IQ pnts less than themselves. You must be kidding yourselves. Really. Look in the mirror do you really like what you see? I didn’t think so.
i love how this sketch starts slowly, a nd then ends up so manic with john cleese crawling across the floor at the end, its genius!
Can I be mute instead?
ahahah one of my favourite
i’d rather be fun
Me too. Because there’s always subtitles for the TV and I can still see to write.
